The journey continues for Postales as the film industry seems to scream, “the sky is falling” in the face of emerging filmmakers who continue to create cinema against all odds to move the hearts and minds of  audiences around the world.

Postales will have it’s Canadian Premiere at the Edmonton Int’l Film Festival. We are excited to screen in Canada as the film only accepts a handful of films. Our fellow IFP Rough Cut Lab Alumni, Ron Eyal and Eleanor Burke, are also screening their film, Stranger Things, at Edmonton.

If you know anyone near by please encourage them to check out Postales and Stranger Things, then please “like” the film on the festival’s page for Postales.

As we’ve been working to find the North American Premiere for Postales, we’ve also had a bit of time to travel.  A couple days after the Edinburgh Int’l Film Festival, Dan Fischer, a producer and the cinematographer of the film, traveled through Peru to catch up with the crew and cast of Postales.

Our hope is to create a Peruvian revenue stream that goes directly to support various NGO’s in Cuzco which support street kids.  This is the first step in having the film give back to the community it came from.  Thanks for the support and enjoy the photos from our cast and crew in Peru.

As the Postales entourage walked to it’s very first screening, we were all curious who would be introducing our film.  No one knew and then we were humbled, excited, and slowly understood how our film from the streets of Cuzco, Peru has creeped into the hearts of Scotland and the festival director, Hannah McGill.  As we arrived they told us that she would be doing our intro and our Q and A.  A TRULY CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE.  Now all bask in the glory of one of the young, vibrant, soldier of CINEMA and STORYTELLING.  The one, the only…HANNAH MCGILL.

She doesn’t mess about.  And if you come into Hannah’s Edinburgh International House of Cinema.  Remember STORY, STORY, STORY!

Hello from Edinburgh,

Its been a long road from Cuzco to Edinburgh but last night writer/director,  Josh Hyde.  and I suited up in our tuxedos for the premiere of the Illusionist by Sylvain Chomet.  It was an awesome feeling to walk down the red carpet at the opening screening of this great film.  Afterwards we followed a bagpiper through the streets of Edinburgh to the Gala, a huge party to mark the opening of the festival.  Today I’m sitting in the Delegate Center catching up some work and waiting to meet up with Avi, the production coordinator on Postales.  Much to do and more to come from Edinburgh…
